Peter’s achievements have been recognised throughout his profession.

This year, Peter has won the CIPR Northern Ireland News Photographer of the Year, as well as several categories in the Vodafone Northern Ireland Press Photographer Awards including politics, news, sport and individual study. Peter also went on to win the prestigious title of overall Vodafone Northern Ireland Press Photographer of the Year 2007.

Previous awards have included,

• 2002 special merit award in the AIB Press Photographers Association Ireland
• 2002 winner of the Picture Essay award in the Vodafone Northern Ireland Press Photographer of the Year
• 2003 special merit award in the AIB Press Photographers Association Ireland
• 2005 Runner up in Politics and special merit award in the Vodafone Northern Ireland Press Phographer of the Year.
• 2006 special merit award in the AIB Press Photographer Association Ireland
• 2006 winner and runner up in the news section of the Vodafone Northern Ireland Press Photographer of the Year.
